20-foot walls of water. 70 mph winds. One small boat.

We found ourselves in the middle of a storm at sea that I was absolutely not prepared for.
The waves were towering over us. The wind was deafening. Every few seconds, the boat would rise up,
hang in the air, then slam back down with force. The whole boat would shake like crazy, and we thought
the boat would implode.

I remember thinking - I might die today. 

But we made it through. And honestly? That experience changed the way I look at everything - risk,
stability, what really matters.
