I was talking about the waves. They were twenty foot giants, on every side
and we sailed up the trough of the wave, frightfully fast and crashed through
its top, sending tons of white spray cascading like a waterfall twenty feet
from the bow to the stern. The ocean drenched us over and over again.
Thankfully we made it through the ten hours of that nightmare (coming home
from Catalina Island in a full gale storm).
Even though it was truly terrifying, it was also unbelievable and the ocean
was awesome in its fury. I had never seen anything like it.
One thing you don't want to do is play games with the ocean. You have to
take it seriously. And I can say the same thing with your life. Any dream
you want to accomplish, you have to mean business!
People tell me all the time how they have no money to invest in their
themselves. So how will they learn how to succeed that way? I've been
exactly at the same place, with no money, working paycheck to paycheck
and still managed to save up and invest in my vision and my business.
Can you imagine if I had not taken classes on sailing and got myself into
that awful storm unprepared?
Can you imagine what your life will look like if you DO take your business
seriously? What IF you get the right tools and a coach to help you? You may
change your life COMPLETELY!
On the other hand - there is the easy way out too and this will produce
NOTHING significant.
Be brave! Take action and remember that NOT facing your fear will be
even worse later then facing it now. Believe you can, and walk forward...
even if you're a little scared.
