OK so I’m not sure if you’ll get this email in the middle of winter,
perhaps in spring or even in the summertime.
Wherever this email finds you, I hope you enjoy this little
taste of Christmas past!
So many years ago I used to live near a farm that was
surrounded by tons of woods, a river and even a lake.
I remember in the winter time we used to go skiing in our backyard
down the hill that led to the river. I remember finding these ancient
skis up inside our attic that we used to ski down the hill. Those
skis were SO heavy and hard to ski with (haha!)
That was a lot of fun! It was also very cold (lol).
I remember having huge gloves on and layers of clothes
underneath a giant winter coat with a heavy woolen hat,
a hood over that and a scarf to protect my nose from the
brutal cold. Those were some of the best days
before Christmas!
Today I live out in California, so I rarely get my fingers turning
white from cold (like what happened to me during those times).
And honestly my hands are not complaining! (I still get
pretty cold sailing out on the sea on windy nights).
But to be honest, even though the weather is awesome out here
(it’s more like spring time during the winter), I still remember
those beautiful nights looking out the window and seeing the
snow coming down outside our home near the woods.
I can still feel the warmth of the fire my dad had made in the
fireplace and the love of all my family there with me.
My mom and dad have gone on now so I miss them a lot.
It’s been a long time since I had a CHRISTMAS like that!
Anyway I thought you might enjoy hearing that story.
Maybe it reminds you of some beautiful times in your life!
As you know, life goes on and there’s always time to make new
dreams come true.
I remember working 12 hour work days and only being
able to spend 10 or 20 minutes a day on my business.
But I still did it because I knew if I didn’t, I’d be working
that job the rest of my life! And that was not acceptable for me.
Maybe you can relate!
