Lost at sea

When it comes to sailing, one of the right decisions I made early on, was to save up and spend almost a thousand dollars to take classes on ocean sailing. I mean, it made sense to be as safe as I possibly could be - don't you agree!

And that decision paid off BIG - especially that morning I found myself truly lost and not having any idea of where I was. But the navigation skills I learned were worth all that money, when I began to use them to figure out my position. Now here's a question: "did I have a thousand dollars to 'waste' on sailing lessons?" Not even close! But I saved it up because I knew how important it was. 

Here's one of my "wrong" decisions. That of not saving up to take 1:1 mentoring with Alan to learn internet marketing. Honestly, I thought I could figure it all out on my own. And for years I asked him questions here and there hoping to figure out the "puzzle pieces" to succeeding online. And every question Alan answered me and pointed me in the right direction (and for that I owe him SO much).

But the negative of my decision to be "cheap" and go the "easy way" was the fact that it took me two years to figure out everything he was trying to teach me. TWO YEARS! Now just calculate how much that bad decision cost me in money. Well, doing the math, it cost me $3,600. Yup! I didn't see that one coming either. But in actuality, it was the small monthly fees I was spending for my online business just adding up over time without me earning anything. I could have paid for 1:1 coaching with Alan eleven times for that same amount. And I wish I had. It would have earned me a lot more.

All this wasted expense BECAUSE I didn't know what I was doing and was wasting month after month going in circles trying to figure it all out on my own and not really learning real marketing skills. 

Can you relate? Feel like you're going in circles too? Then do something smart and it WILL pay off in the end. Do what I eventually did and learn real marketing skills. This will take you in the right direction and change everything for you.
